Sharps Track Campground, basic bush camping Victoria Sharps Track Camping Area Great Otway National Park camping Victoria, Australia. The Sharps Track camping area is located in a tall open forest and is just a ten-minute drive to the Sheoak picnic area, where you will find flush toilets and electric barbecues with good access to walking trails and waterfalls. There are no toilets specifically at Sharps Track campground, and no other facilities – dogs are strictly prohibited. Access is 3kms from Lorne, the campground is adjacent to Sharps Road and it is 4-wheel drive only access past the campground. There is no cost to camp at Sharps Track campground, and bookings cannot be made. There are a total of 6 campsites only at Sharps Track campground, accommodating up to six persons per site. All campsites are unpowered, with 3 set aside specifically for tents only; the other sites are suitable for tents, caravans or camper-trailers. There are no fireplaces provided and fires are not allowed – campers must use fuel stoves or a gas barbeque for cooking. Please also carry your own fresh drinking water, there is no water provided at Sharps Track campground. The Sheoak Picnic Area is a popular attraction in this part of the Great Otway National Park where you can walk the trail to Upper and Lower Kalimna Falls. A 4WD vehicle is recommended to negotiate the track to Sharps Track, especially after heavy rain – however, a conventional 2WD car is OK during dry weather.
