About
Bookings are essential if planning to camp at the Sorrento Foreshore Reserve over the Christmas, New Year period, at Easter or during school holidays – this is a very popular campground with families who head to the beach for a holiday break. The campground Sorrento Foreshore is located app. 1 kilometre from the small Victorian seaside town of Sorrento. Dogs are not permitted, fires are also not permitted meaning you must carry a gas or fuel stove. This is only a fairly small campground but is suitable for bigger rigs assuming you can obtain a reservation. Sorrento foreshore camping is recommended if you enjoy foreshore camping – this campground is just 1km in length along the beach with some 145 sites. The Sorrento to Queenscliff ferry, which crosses Port Phillip Bay to the Bellarine Peninsula and the Great Ocean Road, is nearby. Camping facilities include good clean shower and toilet blocks, grassy areas shaded by large trees if you are lucky and boat launching ramps close by for those people interested in water activities such as fishing, water skiing and boating. Click here to book Campsite Sorrento. Weekly rates during non-peak season are $145 for a powered site, and $100 for a non-powered site. Casual rates are $40 per night powered and $26 non-powered. Weekly rates during peak season (16/12 – 27/1) rise to $355 for a powered site and $250 for non-powered.
