Horseshoe Bend Bush Camping

The Horseshoe Bend free bush camping grounds is suitable for tents, caravans and camper trailers. Dogs are permitted here. The campsites are located on the banks of the Murray River so camping here is recommended for people who enjoy swimming, kayaking and fishing. Campers are required to be self-sufficient as there are no facilities.

Access to this camping spot is via Old Wentworth Road off River Ave in Merbein, Victoria. The camping area is in the Merbein Common-Horseshoe Bend area, 10 kilometres NW of Mildura, near to the border of New South Wales. Access to the common is signposted along Old Wentworth Road near the racecourse and wineries. 2WD vehicles only suitable in dry weather as roads may become muddy or close due to seasonal floods.
