About
Johanna Beach campground is located in sand dunes and is an open, grassed camping area next to a surf beach, and that is very popular with surfers. The area s also popular for day visitors and for walking. Access to the Johanna Beach campsites is off Old Coach Road from the Great Ocean Road. Dogs on leads are permitted but must be kept under control at all times. Bookings and payment in advance are required at all times of the year. There are a total of 25 campsites available with a maximum of 6 people per site – all campsites are unpowered. There are non-flush toilets at the Johann Beach campground. Fires are not permitted, and you must carry a fuel stove or gas barbecue for cooking. There is no drinking water at this site – please carry your own fresh drinking water. Click here to book Johanna Beach Campground. Wheelchair access is problematic due to the significant gradient of the path and steps at this location. This is a great camping location, with the Johanna Beach drive-in camping providing a range of campsites located in close proximity to Johanna Beach. Sites are located on undulating grassland; there is some limited shelter provided by coastal vegetation. A number of the campsites are on slopes making them unsuitable for wheelchair access. A campsite will cost you around $34 per night (for up to 6 people) and bookings are essential. See camping Great Otway National Park
