The Upper Yarra Reservoir park camping area is located some 25km east of the small Victorian town of Warburton. This camping area is located in the upper part of the Yarra River, with this reservoir being the 3rd largest in Victoria. Bushwalking is very popular in this area. The park is open daily, with gates opening at 8:30am and closing at 5:00pm (6:00pm during daylight savings). The Upper Yarra Reservoir Park is a popular location for camping and is spacious and great for families. Facilities include toilets, a large wet weather hall, hot water, camper’s kitchen, picnic tables and barbecues. Please note that advance bookings and payment are required – you can book online or call Parks Victoria on 13 1963. This area is suitable for large groups but mustbe booked in advance. The campground Reservoir Park Camping Area Upper Yarra has well-maintained picnic and barbecue areas with large grassed campsites surrounded by native bush and other trees. A stay at this reserve is highly-recommended, offering campers a natural camping experience. There are numerous bushwalks in this park. All sites are unmarked and can be booked for up to 6 persons per site. All sites are non-powered.

Upper Yarra Reservoir Park Closures
Minor works will commence in March 2019 through to June 2019. You will notice some traffic and noise during this time and some intermittent temporary closures may occur prior to the full closure of the reservoir park in June 2019 . The park will remain closed to the public until mid-2021. Upon completion of works public access to the park and it’s amenities will be reinstated. Some improvements will be made to the existing facilities during the closure in order to enhance the level of amenity provided in the park.
