Camping Great Ocean Road walk, Ryans Den Campsite has 8 campsites, tank water, picnic tables, pit toilets, and a kitchen shelter. The Ryans Den Campsite is located app. 14km from the Johanna Beach campsite – the next campsite is at Devils Kitchen which is 14.5kms west of Ryans Den Campsite. As Ryans Den campsite is a remote campground, on the Great Ocean Walk and not close to the main road, it is only used by bushwalkers. The 8 campsites at Ryans Den are only small and suited to 1, 2 or 2/3 man tents only. The campsite offers an excellent composting toilet, with great views, good shelter for when the weather is poor and a few picnic tables. There are some good views from the viewing area at the back of the campsite. Ryans Den campsite is part of the Great Ocean Walk that runs from Apollo Bay to The Twelve Apostles, being an 8-day walk and completed as follows:
- Day 1: Apollo Bay to Elliot Ridge, 10km, 3.5 hrs
- Day 2: Elliot Ridge to Blanket Bay, 12km, 4.5 hrs
- Day 3: Blanket Bay to Cape Otway, 11km, 3.5 hrs
- Day 4: Cape Otway to Aire River, 10km, 3 hrs
- Day 5: Aire River to Johanna Beach, 14km, 5 hrs
- Day 6: Johanna Beach to Ryans Den, 14km, 5 hrs
- Day 7: Ryans Den to Devils Kitchen, 13km, 5 hrs
- Day 8: Devils Kitchen to Twelve Apostles, 16km, 5 hrs
