Stevenson Falls Campground

Stevensons Falls Campground is a peaceful, free bush camping site located in the Great Otway National Park (Barramunga, VIC). Nestled beside the Gellibrand River among towering Californian Redwoods, the site features 44 unpowered campsites (tents only, no caravans) with accessible toilets and wood-fired barbecues.Location: Roadknight Creek Road, Barramunga, Victoria 3249.

Stevensons Falls Campground is roughly 170 km (2.5 hours drive) southwest of Melbourne.

• Sites are unpowered and available on a first-come, first-served basis; no advance bookings are possible.
• Facilities: 4 accessible toilets (with wheelchair clearance), fire pits, and picnic tables.
• Accessibility: Accessible by 2WD, though the final 6 km approach is on a gravel track.
• Activities:The Walk: A short, pram-friendly 3.4 km return walk to the base of the waterfall, which passes through a stunning stand of Californian Redwood trees.Swimming: Seasonal swimming is possible at the base of the falls, though the rocks can be slippery.
• Pets: Dogs are allowed.
