The only alternative in the Upper River State Forest east of Stockmans Reward Camping Area that can cater for camper trailers and small caravans is Frenchmans Creek. Stockmans Reward is signposted off Big River Rd app. 7.8 km east of Big River Camping area. Given its size, the Stockmans Reward Camping Area is one of the main campgrounds in this area and gets very busy during holidays such as Christmas, Ester, school holidays and long weekend. The site is suitable for group camping, and is mostly used for that purpose. There are a significant number of shaded flat campsites with sites marked out with their own fireplaces. There are fishing spots near this campground and basic toilets.
