Surface Point Camping Area
Surface Point Camping area, Ballarat Enfield Colac Victoria Australia, a great camping spot or location to enjoy a picnic – no camping charges, no bookings – first come, first served. Camping is allowed at the campground close to Mount Misery Creek, which only has basic facilities including toilets, a picnic table and a firepit. This is bush camping is permitted, with access to the Surface Point Campground being via the south-eastern part of the park off Misery Creek Road. Toilets are non-flush, no dogs allowed. All sites are non-powered and campfires must only be in the fireplaces that are provided. You must carry your own firewood and drinking water. Remove all rubbish, there are no rubbish bins provided. There is minimal shade at the Surface Point campground. This area is popular with bushwalkers, for horse riding and bird watchers. Camping Fitzroy River Reserve

Access from Ballarat, head South 30km on the Ballarat-Colac Rd [C146] past the town of Enfield, turn right 3.5km on the gravel Misery Creek Rd - Surface Creek campsite is signed on the right before the bridge.
