Underbool Recreation Reserve Camping
The Underbool Recreation Reserve has a number of low-cost campsites available in the small yet upbeat town of Underbool. The recreation ground is located on Gnarr Road, north of the railway line and sporting facilities. Camping fee details are located on site and are paid via an honour system (gold coin donation).
Campers can bring tents, camper trailers, caravans or big rigs. The facilities include hot showers, water and toilets. Dogs are permitted.
Underbool is located approximately 60 kilometres to the east of Murrayville and around 20 kilometres to the west of Walpeup. Underbool’s location makes it a possible base to make day trips to Murray-Sunset National Park or Wyperfeld National Park.
The camping area is pet-friendly and offers both powered and unpowered sites, catering to everyone from tent campers to large caravans and motorhomes. Powered sites are limited and are located around the circumference of the oval, so they are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The unpowered camping area is situated beside the function centre and features flat, spacious sites with plenty of shade beneath the beautiful Mallee trees. If you prefer to maximise your solar setup, there are also sunny spots available.
