Popular with campers, caravanners, mountain bikers and bushwalkers, the campground provides easy access to the renowned Mount Clay Mountain Bike Trail Network and the scenic Whalers Lookout Walk. One of Sawpit Campground’s biggest attractions is that it is completely free, with no bookings required. The campground caters to tents, camper trailers, campervans and smaller caravans, making it suitable for a wide range of travellers. While the facilities are basic, the well-maintained grounds, peaceful bush setting and abundance of wildlife more than make up for the lack of powered sites. Visitors should bring their own drinking water, as none is available on-site.
