Camping Freemans Picnic Area
The Freemans camping and picnic area is located in the Tallarook State Forest, which is located app. 80 kilometres north of Melbourne, between the towns of Broadford and Seymour. The camping ground Freemans is located some 11 kilometres east of the Hume Highway on Freemans Road. Freemans Road is signposted off Ennis Road, which is accessed off the freeway north of the access tot he town of Broadford and a couple of kilometres south of the C383 exit to Tallarook. The Freemans camping area was previously a forestry camp, but these days is regularly occupied by families on day trips for picnics or bushwalks. The Freemans camping and picnic area is ideally suited to families and large groups. Please note that standard passenger vehicles can access Freemans Camping Area, while many areas of this area require a 4WD – see Falls Creek Reservoir Camping
