Camping Tallarook State Forest
There are several areas in the Tallarook State Forest where you can go camping or use as day visit areas. The only site that has any facilities is the Freemans Camping Area which has toilets, picnic tables and barbeques. Other camping areas can be found at Flat Rock, Trawool Reservoir Camp and Tassie Camp, however, they don’t have facilities. The Tallarook State Forest comprises 5,100 ha of mixed species Eucalypt forest. Dogs are OK in this state forest. There are no facilities for rubbish collection so you must take rubbish with you when you leave. The Tallarook State forest offers visitors a range of activities including options for four-wheel-driving, camping, bushwalking, bird watching, hiking, mountain bike riding, horse riding and trail bike riding. Just a short drive south from Tallarook is Mt
Disappointment State Forest which offers options for walking, horse riding, trail bike riding and general day visitor areas including the popular Strath Creek Falls. See also: Falls Creek Reservoir Camping
