Big Hill campground, Great Otway National Park camping Lorne Victoria seasonal campground, suit school groups large, flat open area surrounded by tall forest and popular with school groups. The Big Hill campground is open from 01 November to 30 May each year. The Big Hill camping area is located near the intersection of Big Hill Track and Lorne-Deans Marsh Road, Benwerrin. Bookings can’t be made for the Big Hill Camping area, and there are no charges to camp at this campground in the Great Otway National Park. There are a total of 12 campsites available, and all camping is on a first come, first served basis. All campsites at Big Hill are unpowered and accommodate one vehicle – 6 of the sites are set aside for tents only; the other half are suitable for tents, caravans and camper-trailers. The Big Hill campground offers non-flush toilets and shared fireplaces. Campfires are allowed, but only the fireplaces. You must carry your own firewood and fresh drinking water. Fuel stoves or gas barbeque are recommended for cooking. Strictly NO DOGS or other pets.
