Wakool Junction Camping Area
Wakool Junction is a free bush camping site in the Murrumbidgee Junction and Nyah State Forest Region. It is located on the banks of the Murray River and is one of the four reserves between Robinvale and Swan Hill offering dispersed bush camping. It is on the Victorian side of the border, about 7 kilometres east of Piambie. Access to Wakool Junction campsite is signposted off the Murray Valley HWY. 2WD only suitable in dry weather. River can be prone to flooding, check the forecast and water levels before deciding to camp at this camping area. Dogs are allowed at this camping area. The campground is suitable for tents, camper trailers and caravans. Campers must be self-sufficient and carry water and a gas stove. All Murray River Reserve camping spots are suited to people who enjoy the outdoors, nature and life by the river.
