The Stringer Camping Ground, Caravan Park Melbourne Victoria is one of two foreshore based campgrounds stretching along Port Phillip Bay at Blairgowrie. The small town of Blairgowrie is app. 2 kilometres south-east of the popular Victorian coastal town of Sorrento. The Stringer Campground has 66 powered sites (17 being premium sites) located by the beach with hot showers, laundry facilities and a barbecue area. The Stringer Campground is open for camping from 28 September 2017 until 30 April 2018. Please note that the Stringer Road Caravan Park campground is extremely popular over the summer holiday and Easter period with the peak season being 23 December 2017 – 3 February 2018. At this campground, there are a number of family-friendly walking trails around the White Cliffs area. White Cliffs is a rocky cliff outcrop app. 1 kilometre to the West of Rye Pier with steps leading to a lookout area at the top of the cliff that provides beautiful views both to the East towards Arthur’s Seat and West towards Blairgowrie.
