Airs Farm camping area is a private campground located on 3 hectares of bushland, on French Island Victoria Australia. You will enjoy a relaxing camping adventure as you sit around an open wood fire at this private campground set in bushland approximately 10 km east of Tankerton on French Island Victoria Australia The owners will pick you up from the ferry or you can walk or ride your bike along Bayview Rd to reach the farm. Also located at Airs Farm campground is Bayview Chicory Kiln, a historic 1890s building containing a large display of memorabilia – the owners run guided walking tours of French Island.
French Island is located quite close to Melbourne Victoria, but in many ways seems far removed from the bustling capital of Victoria. French Island is twice the size of Phillip Island, with two-thirds being National Park. It is just 65 kilometres from Melbourne, yet many Victorians who know very little if anything about the Western Port island that is French Island. To get to French Island you have to catch the Inter-Island Ferry which runs a service to and from the island daily from Stony Point on the Mornington Peninsula and also from Cowes Jetty on certain days.
