Access to the signposted campsite Frenchmans Creek Camping Area is along the Big River Road app. 6 kilometres east of Stockmans Reward Camping Area and app. 1.8 kms east of the Specimen Creek campground. The Frenchmans Creek camping area is well up Big River, on one of the many bends of this peaceful river. The Frenchmans Creek camping area caters to camper trailers, campervans and small caravans as well as tent campers, and has plenty of space for large groups to make themselves at home. There are app. 20 campsites at Frenchmans Creek camping area – there are basic toilets and you must carry your own water and firewood – wood barbeques are available. No bookings are possible for the Frenchmans Creek campsite – please note it can be very popular during the holidays so make sure you get here early especially if planning to go camping on a long weekend or during a holiday period such as Easter or Christmas.
