Kings Billabong Bush Camping
Kings Billabong bush camping area is located within a Wilderness Reserve and has many dispersed camping plots on the banks of the Murray River in Victoria Australia. The camping grounds are located 12 kilometres from Mildura and can be accessed by heading east down Eleventh Street (signposted off the highway). From there, make a right turn to Cureton Avenue followed by a left turn onto Psyche Bend Road. The campsites are reached by many dirt roads that leave from the pump station. This section of the river is prone to flooding in bad weather, so a 4WD is required during and after heavy rains (2WD in dry weather only).
There are no facilities at the campsites, however there are toilets located near the billabong at the pump station. Campers must be self-sufficient and carry water and a fuel/gas stove. Dogs are allowed here. This wildlife reserve is a good camping location for those who enjoy nature and outdoor activities. Tents, caravans and camper trailers are all suitable in dry seasons and 4WD suitable vehicles at other times.
